My Neighbor Alice

An on-chain world designed to feel like a game first.

Investment signal

The signal.

My Neighbor Alice led with a familiar creative-game loop rather than financial mechanics. It tested whether ownership could deepen a social world without becoming the reason the world existed.

A multiplayer building and social game on Chromia where players explore, gather resources, craft items, and shape a shared world.

What it is

My Neighbor Alice is a multiplayer world built around exploration, crafting, land, and social play. Its on-chain assets sit inside a game loop designed to be understandable without requiring the player to begin as a crypto trader.

That order matters. Ownership can strengthen identity and creation, but it cannot rescue a world that is not enjoyable. The game has to earn attention before its assets can carry durable meaning.

The bet was on consumer accessibility: use blockchain where persistence and ownership improve the experience, while keeping the interaction legible to players who came for the world itself.

What the company is building now.

The game and community channels remain active. Current X activity is mostly community tone, play prompts and incremental polish rather than major product announcements; the public roadmap materials are less current than the social cadence.

01 / Goal

The job it wants to do.

Build a fully on-chain multiplayer world whose farming, crafting, land and social systems feel approachable to players without requiring prior crypto knowledge.

02 / Capital

Public funding record.

No separately announced company round with reliable public terms was recovered. The project’s main public financing event was the ALICE token distribution through Binance Launchpool and related private allocations.

Token distribution, not a conventional equity round; do not infer capital raised from token market value.

04 / Crypto role

Where it sits in the stack.

My Neighbor Alice is a consumer application on Chromia. It tests whether persistent ownership and player governance can strengthen a familiar cozy-game loop without making financial mechanics the main reason to play.

05 / Live signal

What its X is saying.

Recent posts are frequent but light: farming, fishing, plot-building and community prompts. The signal is ongoing community operation, not a clearly communicated new roadmap milestone.

06 / Horizon

The long game.

Reach mainstream-scale players by abstracting blockchain complexity and letting ownership, creation and social status emerge inside a game people enjoy on its own terms.

07 / Our view

Fit with the Box Ventures thesis.

Direct Applications fit: ownership should deepen an existing behavior, not invent demand. The key evidence is retained play and creative output; social posting frequency or token liquidity is not a substitute.

What must go right
  • Monthly active and retained players from verifiable sources
  • Content cadence and meaningful game updates
  • Asset utility and economy health without reward-driven demand
